We got a “floor” that is still economically worse than what existed prior, inventory pull forward that will stale on shelves, and hurt blue collar wage workers for a few weeks. But, he tricked his followers into cheering for 30% tariffs on China because it’s “smaller” and the stock market pumps because it’s not worse and so they feel vindicated. But now, even if the stock market went to an ATH, we’d still be economically worse off for retail. So middle America gets screwed over again while everyone celebrates. Then like every 4 years, we look around confused as to why middle America is hurting and angry. 🙄
