BlockBeats reported that on May 10, the website of the Lianhe Zaobao in Singapore reported on May 9 that about a month after the US government imposed export restrictions on Nvidia's H20 artificial intelligence (AI) chips, Nvidia plans to launch a downgraded version of H20 for the Chinese market in the next two months. Reuters reported on May 9th, citing three sources, that Nvidia has notified its major Chinese clients, including cloud computing giants, of plans to launch a modified version of the H20 chip in July.
According to reports, Nvidia has set new technological thresholds to guide the development of modified chip designs. Insiders say that compared to the original H20, these specifications will significantly degrade chip performance, including significantly reducing memory capacity. (Golden Ten)
