According to CoinDesk, Pepo, an important representative of Uniswap DAO, announced his withdrawal from governance on Monday. The anonymous representative, who holds 455000 UNI tokens (worth approximately $3 million), accused the non-profit organization Uniswap Foundation of manipulating community governance and monopolizing decision-making power on social media. This conflict exposes the deep-seated contradictions in the governance of DeFi protocols. Although Devin Walsh, Executive Director of Uniswap Foundation, emphasized the importance of representative feedback, Pepo pointed out that the organization prefers closed operations rather than open collaboration. In March of this year, DAO approved a grant of $165 million to the foundation for ecological development, but some representatives questioned the lack of transparency in the use of funds.
