According to The Block, the privacy blockchain project Tari Labs has officially launched its mainnet, launching the desktop mining application "Tari Universe" for ordinary users. The platform adopts a joint mining mechanism with Monero (XMR), and users can participate in XTM token mining through their personal computers, with an average daily mining time of over 4 hours. During the testing phase, 100000 users have participated, and the application has a built-in visual mining interface that allows for real-time adjustment of computing power allocation. Tari continues the privacy protection philosophy of Monero by integrating the Mimblewimble protocol for lightweight anonymous transactions and innovatively introducing a reusable emoji address system. Its independently developed RandomX algorithm is specifically designed to be ASIC resistant, preventing a computing power monopoly similar to Bitcoin mining. Tari Labs was founded by early Monero contributors Naveen Jain and others, and has received investments from institutions such as Blockchain Capital and Pantera. Since 2018, it has raised over $14 million in cumulative funding. The project attracts community participation through airdrop activities, requiring users to complete tasks such as social media interaction to receive rewards.
