US trade deficit hits historic high in March

According to Golden Finance, the US Department of Commerce announced on Tuesday that the international trade deficit, including goods and services, widened by 14% in March, reaching a record high of $140.5 billion after seasonal adjustments, as companies rushed to import foreign products before the White House imposed tariffs. Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal previously predicted that the US trade deficit would widen from $127 billion in February to $136 billion.
