Bitfarms: Focus on developing US energy and HPC infrastructure, rather than expanding mining machine scale

According to Golden Finance, cryptocurrency mining company Bitfarms (NASDAQ/TSX: BITF) has released its April operational report. The company announced a financing agreement of up to $300 million with Macquarie Group, which will be specifically used to build a high-performance computing (HPC) data center in Panther Creek. In April, the company mined a total of 268 bitcoins and maintained an operating computing power of 19.5 EH/s. As of the end of April, the company held 1005 bitcoins, valued at approximately $94 million at $94000 per coin at the time. CEO Ben Gagnon stated that the company will focus on developing energy and HPC infrastructure in the United States, rather than expanding the scale of mining machines, in order to create sustained shareholder value.
