Deputy Head of the Federal Treasury, Anna Katamadze, announced that citizens will be able to use digital ruble wallets on the Central Bank's platform. This marks the first official statement since the rollout was postponed in March. Despite earlier concerns about technical issues delaying mass adoption, the government is moving forward with internal use of the CBDC for budget payments and subsidies, aiming to enhance transparency and reduce corruption.
