As two seafaring countries, Oman and the Netherlands enjoy good relations stretching back four centuries. We marked this milestone during a government lunch with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, a part of his state visit to the Netherlands. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima (@koninklijkhuis) also attended the lunch, along with several of my fellow ministers. At Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten we discussed the economic and trade ties between our countries and our cooperation on hydrogen production and the energy transition. We also spoke about the situation in the Middle East. The Netherlands is deeply appreciative of Oman’s constructive role as a bridge-builder in the region. 🇴🇲🤝🇳🇱
