CertiK releases Q1 2025 security report, showing a 300% increase in stolen Web3.0 assets compared to the previous quarter

Odaily Planet Daily News: CertiK has recently released the "Hack3d: Web3.0 Security Report for Q1 2025". The report shows that there were a total of 197 security incidents this quarter, with a total loss of approximately 1.67 billion US dollars, an increase of 303.4% compared to the previous quarter. The Bybit incident resulted in a loss of approximately $1.45 billion. There were a total of 15 incidents of private key leakage, resulting in a loss of 140 million US dollars, while phishing attacks, although with lower single losses, occurred the most frequently, with 81 incidents this quarter and a total loss of nearly 16 million US dollars. CertiK warns that as the adoption rate of encrypted assets increases, security challenges may further intensify.
