The official Bitcoin ISO code domain "(xbt. com)" has been auctioned off at Lloyd's for nearly $2.8 million

According to Golden Finance, Lloyds Auctions announced the auction of the "XBT. com" domain, which is closely related to the historical position of Bitcoin in traditional finance. The starting price is $2798917, and the auction will end on March 28th. The chief operating officer of the auction house, Lee Hames, speculates that Musk, Bezos, and even Trump may participate in the bidding. XBT "is the ISO 4217 currency code for Bitcoin, launched around 2013. Similar to gold (XAU) and silver (XAG), exchanges such as Kraken and BitMEX still use XBT as some URL and API endpoints, but have switched to BTC during Bitcoin's last halving cycle.
