On September 9, 2025, leading cryptocurrency platform and on-chain technology company OKX announced a partnership with digital asset industry giant Tether to integrate the globally most widely used stablecoin Tether (USDT) unified liquidity network USDT0 into OKX's Ethereum Layer 2 network X Layer, as well as OKX wallet and exchange.
With the launch and integration of USDT0, users can now directly deposit and withdraw USDT0 through the OKX wallet and exchange, thereby obtaining unified and composable liquidity across major DeFi ecosystems.
Users can also access deeper stablecoin liquidity in networks supported by USDT0 on OKX, including Arbitrum, Optimism, Unichain, Polygon, Berachain, and more.
USDT0 is based on LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard, with each USDT0 transfer being verifiable and fully supported by native USDT at a 1:1 ratio. The integration of USDT0 enables faster settlements, seamless transfers between different Rollup networks, and allows users to directly transfer liquidity between OKX's centralized exchange and decentralized markets without relying on cross-chain bridges or wrapped tokens.
