The proposal states that this governance vote is a step toward "starting the next phase of community ownership and engagement" and moving the World Liberty protocol "from closed to open participation."

Second Vote to Decide Release of Remaining 100B WLFI Token approval

The remaining 100 billion coins supply will be "subject to a second vote by the community to determine the unlock and release schedule," meaning that only coins supplied to early backers will be unlocked. In order to show long-term dedication and alignment with the protocol's success, the team also states that the protocol creators, team, and advisors "will be subject to a longer unlock schedule than early supporters."

It Was Previously Locked, Sold in Two Funding Rounds

Now more cryptocurrency users can participate thanks to the WLFI token approval, which enables price discovery. Originally released in the fall of last year, the coins were offered for sale in two batches at $0.015 and $0.05. Holders were unable to exchange or move the assets prior to the vote.

Upcoming Exchange Listings Expected to Drive Demand

This shift from closed access to open market trading may increase the coin's visibility and market activity. WLFI Token approval Launched with 21K Holders Vote to Trad

Out of 85K holders, just 21K voted in favor of the coin's tradability. The voting has now completed in favor of the launch. As per World Liberty Financial's gold paper, the project will distribute an airdrop for the 30% allocation. World Liberty has approved a proposal to initiate the tradability of its coin, which was approved by 99.94% of around 20,900 votes.

Some voters cited expectations of price gains or support for Trump as reasons for their choice. "We invested to get rich," one wrote on the World Liberty website. "To make America great again," wrote another. The identities of nearly all holders are hidden behind wallet addresses. The proposal aims to make this coin tradeable and determine eligibility requirements at an unspecified date. Total coins held by World Liberty's founders, team, and advisers will not be initially "unlocked" for trading and will be subject to a longer "unlock schedule." The implementation of approved proposals will occur within a reasonable time from the proposal's passage.

DT Marks DEFI LLC, a Trump-owned company, holds around 15.75 billion of the 22.5 billion allocated to the Trump-backed  project. The Trump family receives 75% of the revenue from initial  sales, which have generated $500 million. The project's phased release aims to demonstrate commitment and reduce market impacts.
