"You are receiving not just a token airdrop, but also my heartfelt gratitude."
Author: Joanna
Hello everyone, I am Joanna, the co-founder and CEO of SOON.
Today we announced our launch on Binance Alpha. As the airdrop approaches, reflecting on our journey and all those who have accompanied and supported us, I want to dedicate this letter to the earliest angel investors who believed in us, the Cobuilders, every engineer building the underlying technology, every holder who minted NFTs with faith, every builder developing products on SOON, and the vast number of Red Pill participants and community members who continue to support us. You are receiving not just a token airdrop, but also my heartfelt gratitude.
LiveTrade — Why We Chose to Create simpfor.fun, Opt for Live Customer Acquisition, and High-Performance SVM Chain
The latest product released by SOON is not a technical update or infrastructure, but a copy trading tool, simpfor.fun (the V2 version will be launched this week). This is because trading has always been at the core of Web3, serving as a way to bring users from outside the circle into Web3, and copy trading is the fastest way for ordinary users to reach this core. Instead of requiring new users to study complex information in Discord groups or learn how to do contract trading, we allow them to copy trades from top on-chain addresses with one click. This simple action almost completely eliminates cognitive barriers and directly presents the profit and loss (P&L) data that the community cares about most. This is only possible due to the highly transparent nature of blockchain.
At the same time, we are keenly aware of the enormous potential of RWA. At this week's Solana Accelerate conference, we will see more and more institutions issuing assets on-chain. In addition to Circle's US dollars and Blackrock's US stocks, we see gold on Hyperliquid, and in the future, Drift and more projects will bring US stocks to the blockchain, creating a larger market for copy trading tools for these RWA assets.

Unlike current tools, we propose the LiveTrade concept. simpfor.fun V2 will seamlessly integrate simpfor.fun into live streaming scenarios. Compared to scattered social media and shallow short videos, live streaming inherently possesses a true sense of connection, higher user stickiness, and community cohesion.
For example, a live user can enter simpfor.fun to copy trades from smart money addresses while watching a live stream through a plugin on Twitch or SOOP. Any type of streamer can earn 80% commission by introducing simpfor.fun, allowing them to profit even if they have no trading experience, thus providing a low-threshold monetization channel that can directly change the current landscape of the live streaming industry. Therefore, LiveTrade was born, transforming live streaming into the best entry point from Web2 to Web3, creating a super channel for users to enter Web3.

The most important aspect of on-chain copy trading is performance, and all of this relies on a high-performance chain. Any high-performance blockchain infrastructure needs copy trading products to allow ordinary users to participate in high-frequency trading. Especially for assets like gold and US stocks, if we want to replicate exchange-level high-frequency strategies, millisecond-level confirmation speed and horizontal scalability are not just enhancements; they become a necessity. SOON's high-performance infrastructure ensures that the speed and efficiency of asset trading can rival that of traditional financial systems.

The Huge Disagreement Within the Team Led to Our Greatest Breakthrough
Looking back from the early days of SOON to now, what we haven't mentioned is that there was a significant disagreement within the team about whether to prioritize making technology safer or more community-driven. From the perspective of CTO Andrew, he strongly advocated for first building a completely decoupled SVM to ensure that SOON's Rollup could have fault proof mechanisms to be secure enough to avoid bridge hacking incidents, something that other SVM projects have not achieved. However, as CEO, I deeply felt that SOON must be community-driven rather than reliant on VCs, which meant we had to quickly deliver products that truly add value to the community, even if it meant slightly sacrificing some technical perfection or even security in the early stages.
This fundamental conflict could have torn us apart, but ultimately it made our team stronger. Through our collective efforts, we found an excellent balance. Although the Decoupled SVM launched three months later than the Fork SVM, it achieved extremely high performance while also ensuring very high security, restructured the L2 derivation mechanism, supported horizontal scalability, and integrated Firedancer.
At the same time, we launched InterSOON and RedPill, Comming SOON NFT, BigBang, forming a strong community. After launching svmBNB and the soonBase mainnet, as well as five other SVM chains, our infrastructure team also developed a more user-oriented Simpfor.fun. Our community is unbreakable, but unlike projects like Movement that have no delivery and only community, our community activities are all built on solid products. We have seen the strength of products and communities during the TGE of projects like Uniswap and Arbitrum, and we believe this is the future. We entered this industry seeing Solana overcome difficulties due to its products and community, and although many projects like Movement have issued tokens in the so-called community without products this year, problems will ultimately arise. We will continue to iterate, especially in the Livetrade era, as Simpforfun live copy trading to high-performance chains is the ultimate path for blockchain users.
Our achievements are inseparable from the participation of all community contributors. Thank you to our team for helping us maintain a balance between technical security and providing better products for community participation. Especially to the post-00s Dev Rel and many members of the Marketing team, I have learned a lot from them. Continuous learning and building can only be felt in the Solana community. Thanks to CZ, Toly, and Jesse for their support on Twitter.

Thanks to Lily, Adam, Yaoyao, and other members of Solana/Solar/Superteam, Jed, Max, Rex, Joe, and other members of Solana Labs/Anza, Mustafa@Celestia, Victor@Manta Network, Sreeram@Eigenlayer, Jay@Four Pillers, Shiv@Boundless, Chloe@Carv, and other co-contributors for their help from the early days to now.
