[Cambodia Freezes Nearly $1 Billion in Assets of Prince Group, 198 Affiliated Companies Revealed] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 22, according to the *Cambodia-China Times*, the Cambodian court has frozen nearly $1 billion in assets related to the Prince Group case, including buildings, casinos, and thousands of real estate properties. The investigation also uncovered that the group has as many as 198 affiliated companies, 98 of which are located within Cambodia, while the remaining 100 are distributed overseas. Additionally, a key member of the Prince Group, Ing Dara, has been arrested in Cambodia and transferred to court for legal proceedings. Two other individuals involved in the case, Huang Ron and Eang Soklim, have also been detained. Eang Soklim is alleged to be the nominal head of the "Zone 8 Fraud Park" in Prey Veng Province. It is important to note that asset freezing does not equate to formal confiscation. Cambodian authorities stated that relevant departments are studying the legal management and subsequent handling of the frozen assets, including temporarily placing them under state management or applying for final confiscation. However, the ultimate outcome will still depend on court rulings.
