[It is reported that SpaceX and Tesla aim to finalize a merger deal in the first half of next year]
According to Golden Finance, on October 22, sources revealed that relevant parties are pushing for Tesla (TSLA.O) and SpaceX (SPCX.O) to announce a merger deal in the first half of 2027, aiming to complete the merger during the current term of the Trump administration. The combined company’s total market value is expected to reach approximately $3.7 trillion. This move would further solidify Musk’s control over his corporate empire before potential adverse shifts in the political and financial environment.
The U.S. midterm elections are set to take place in less than two weeks. If the Democratic Party gains control of either chamber of Congress, Musk and his companies may face investigations, which could also weaken the influence of a president increasingly entering a lame-duck phase. Meanwhile, if chip and artificial intelligence stocks continue to face sell-offs, investor support may wane, potentially impacting the progress of this ambitious deal.
Bill Birmingham, Head of Research at REX Financial, stated: 'Musk and his advisors clearly hope to capitalize on this window of opportunity. The timing is both favorable and critical.' (Jin10)
