JUST IN: 🇨🇳China's Z .ai launches a new AI model designed to rival Anthropic and OpenAI in coding. GLM-5.3 scored 31.4% on Z .ai’s internal coding test, beating Claude Opus 4.8’s 29.5% while using fewer tokens. Claude Fable 5 still leads at 39.5%. It also topped both Anthropic and OpenAI on 3 of the 9 benchmarks: AutomationBench, GDPVal-AA v2 and CyberGym.
