[36-Day Window for U.S. Senate to Advance CLARITY Act Legislation]
According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Senate has only a 36-day session remaining after recess to push forward the legislation of the 'Digital Asset Market Clarity Act' (CLARITY Act). The Senate is expected to hold a procedural vote on the CLARITY Act after reconvening on September 14, but it must also address the recess schedule ahead of the midterm elections in November. The CLARITY Act includes ethical provisions related to former U.S. President Trump's digital asset connections and restrictions on stablecoin reward programs. If Congress fails to pass the legislation, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Michael Selig will independently introduce digital asset regulations.
