[F2Pool Co-founder Wang Chun: Will Update Nodes if BIP-54 Gains Absolute Majority Support via BIP-9 Mechanism]
F2Pool Co-founder Wang Chun stated that he personally does not support the BIP-54 proposal. However, if the proposal strictly follows the BIP-9 activation mechanism and achieves the required absolute majority miner signaling support threshold, he will upgrade and update mining nodes to support it. Wang Chun also mentioned that he will not participate in BIP-54 signaling votes prior to this.
It is reported that BIP-54 is a protocol improvement proposal recently discussed within the Bitcoin community, aiming to enhance network capabilities by adjusting rules related to Bitcoin's consensus mechanism. However, its activation method and necessity have sparked some controversy within the community. BIP-9 is a soft fork activation mechanism based on miner signaling votes, requiring miners to express support through block signals and triggering upgrades once a preset threshold is reached.
