[South Korean President Lee Jae-myung Invites U.S. Capital to Invest in South Korea's Technology Sector]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on July 26, citing Yonhap News Agency, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung stated: 'South Korea and the United States should expand the scope of cooperation, not limited to the long-standing security alliance, but also encompassing technology, innovation, and the startup sector.' He emphasized that combining the world-class venture capital capabilities and global networks of the United States with South Korea's advanced technological expertise and manufacturing competitiveness will create a new wave of global innovative enterprises.
Lee Jae-myung also called on U.S. venture capital firms to strengthen collaboration and increase investment in South Korea, while pledging to create the world's most attractive environment for investment and entrepreneurship. He stated that South Korea will reform its visa system to better attract overseas entrepreneurial talent and lay the foundation for establishing cooperative systems among domestic and international companies, research institutions, and investors. Additionally, he promised to support South Korean startups in growing into globally competitive enterprises by connecting private and government-managed funds.
