Recently, I have been keeping an eye on the movements of USD1 and have discovered something very interesting. Binance's support for USD1 is unprecedented, and it is no longer just about "giving some traffic". This guy is really playing a big game.
Let's first clarify how Binance supports USD1. This path is worth exploring:
The first step was at the beginning of the 25th year, when the Abu Dhabi sovereign backed MGX Fund invested $2 billion in Binance, and the full amount of this money was settled in USD1. This was the first time in world history that a stablecoin investment exceeded one billion in scale.
2 billion US dollars, bosses, this directly establishes the position of USD1 in Binance, equivalent to pushing USD1 to the level of a "sovereign level capital clearing tool". This has significantly exceeded the pattern of ordinary stablecoins.
The second step is to launch Binance spot trading pairs and synchronize the USD1 wealth management activities of 20% Nian. Under the dual stimulation of spot trading and wealth management, the TVL of USD1 has significantly increased, doubling in less than two months.
Although the early launch of USD1 spot trading and wealth management is considered the most basic operation, allowing everyone to buy and hold, the focus is on the later operations!
The third step is to closely follow up on contract trading and incentivize users to deposit USD1 into their contract accounts, with a 20% bonus on investment returns. It is equivalent to incorporating USD1 into the contract margin system, which gives USD1 a practical usage scenario that can be used to open leverage, short and long positions.
Step four, start Binance Pay integration and connect to offline scenarios. USD1 has officially been integrated into the Binance Pay system. Thousands of merchants worldwide who support Binance Pay, including travel, hotels, and e-commerce, can directly receive USD1 payments. Truly connecting offline daily consumption scenarios, this undoubtedly introduces practical usage needs for USD1.
The fifth step, which I think is also the most crucial step, is to connect RWA trading pairs.
Recently, Binance has launched a perpetual contract for SpaceX (SPCX). USD1 is the only stablecoin trading pair besides USDT, and can be used for margin and settlement, as shown below The picture!
If you want to trade popular targets like SpaceX? Okay, but you must enter the USD1 settlement system. Margin, liquidation, and funding rates all follow the USD1 route. This is completely different from the previous gameplay of "holding rewards" and "airdrops". I used to coax you to take it, but now I want you to use it. As more and more targets are launched in the future, the adoption rate will also increase exponentially!
What is Binance playing? I've been browsing for a while and I think Binance's logic is actually very clear:
Diversification of risk: No longer overly relying on a single USDT or USDC, avoiding potential regulatory and systemic risks.
Binding allies: WLFI, the encryption project of the Trump family, is a core partner of Binance, and supporting USD1 is to consolidate this relationship.
Seizing the RWA track: Binance is now running a very new model, using the most eye-catching traditional financial targets, SpaceX、 Tesla may have more encrypted perpetual contracts and USD1 settlements in the future.
Once this combination punch runs through, USD1 will become the core fuel for the RWA track.
Imagine that in the future, if you want to trade Apple stocks, Amazon stocks, or even the equity of an unlisted unicorn company, you can operate through Binance's RWA contract, and the settlement tool is USD1.
This market size will be astonishingly large. The total market value of the global stock market exceeds $100 trillion, and even if only 1% of the funds flow into the cryptocurrency market through RWA, it is still a trillion dollar volume.
To sum up, this wave of Binance operations is not only feeding traffic to WLFI, but also leveraging the momentum of RWA to forcefully open up a hardcore usage scenario for USD1.
From spot to contract, from on chain to offline, from retail trading to sovereign capital clearing, USD1 is being developed by Binance into a 'all scenario stablecoin'.
