Xie Cun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Director of the Information and Communication Development Department, stated that over the past two years, more than 70 major computing power channels have been built around the national computing power hub nodes, improving network performance between relevant hub nodes by 10%. The explosive growth of large-scale AI models and intelligent applications has led to a continuous increase in demand for intelligent computing power. Moving forward, MIIT will continue to optimize the deployment of computing power infrastructure resources following a systematic approach based on points, chains, networks, surfaces, and frameworks. Efforts will focus on creating interconnected computing power nodes and improving the efficiency of computing power resource utilization. In terms of targeted efforts, MIIT will optimize the supply and deployment of computing power resources, taking into account factors such as industrial development and energy supply. It will promote the construction of intelligent computing clusters and the coordinated development of computing power and electricity, creating a tiered computing power layout and strengthening unified monitoring of computing power.
