Claude Fable 5 Will Not Go Offline, Officially Included in High-Tier Subscriptions

BlockBeats news, on July 18, Anthropic announced that starting July 20, Claude Fable 5 will officially be included in the Max and Team Premium packages. Users can allocate up to 50% of their package quota to Fable 5, and there will no longer be a temporary expiration date. Pro and Team Standard users will still need to use Fable 5 based on a pay-as-you-go quota. Anthropic will provide these users with a one-time $100 credit. When Fable 5 was launched, Anthropic initially promised free access until June 22. The model was subsequently suspended due to U.S. export controls, and after resuming on July 1, the package access period was extended from July 7 to July 12 and then to July 19. Anthropic has consistently stated that demand is difficult to predict and that computational power needs to be gradually increased. This timing inevitably brings to mind Kimi K3. K3 recently approached Fable 5 in several programming and agent evaluations, even surpassing it in some projects. Competitive pressure may have accelerated Anthropic's decision, though there is currently no direct evidence.
