[Specter Investigates BONK DAO Governance Attack: Realms Founder Suspected of Financial Links with Attacker] On-chain security analyst Specter published findings stating that a preliminary investigation into the BONK DAO governance attack revealed noteworthy on-chain connections: both the founder of Realms and Crypto Notte were found to have financial exposure to addresses linked to the suspected attacker. Specter pointed out that the attacker created a malicious governance proposal via a certain address on June 30, 2026. The proposal required support equivalent to 1% of BONK's circulating supply in voting rights to pass. Subsequently, between July 4 and July 5, the attacker acquired the necessary voting rights through exchanges and marginfi lending, with the borrowing amount totaling approximately $4 million.
