HSBC Issues Native Digital Structured Product in Hong Kong
Foresight News|7月 10, 2026 02:43
Foresight News reports, according to The Defiant, HSBC has completed the issuance of Hong Kong's first native digital structured product (a privately placed USD-denominated note). The note was issued directly on the blockchain, rather than being digitized post-issuance. Marketnode acted as the tokenization agent and digital payment agent, managing payment flows between the issuer and investors.
Previously, HSBC, Marketnode, and UOB (United Overseas Bank) jointly participated in the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian and submitted a case study on the issuance of native digital structured notes.
