Former OpenAI Researcher Yonglong Tian Joins Tencent Former OpenAI researcher Yonglong Tian (田永龙) has recently joined Tencent. According to insiders, he may subsequently participate in R&D related to VLM (Vision-Language Models). Previously, Yonglong Tian served as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, focusing on areas such as computer vision, visual representation learning, and generative models. Before OpenAI, he spent many years working within the 'Google ecosystem.' At the end of 2022, he joined Google Research in Cambridge as a Senior Research Scientist, and later transitioned to Google DeepMind in May 2024.
