[Senior Iranian Official Reveals Latest Details of Iran-U.S. Negotiations: No Talks Allowed Without Supreme Leader's Permission] Odaily Planet Daily News - On May 3 local time, Mojtaba Zarei, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, disclosed new details of the Islamabad talks on social media. Zarei stated that the foundation of the Islamabad negotiations was obtaining permission from Iran's Supreme Leader. In addition to securing permission for the negotiations, the content of the talks must also adhere to the framework authorized by the Supreme Leader: when the U.S. side sought to discuss nuclear technology issues, they were informed that the Supreme Leader had prohibited the delegation from engaging in technical detail discussions on this matter; from now on, decisions in this area will be made entirely by the Supreme Leader. Furthermore, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has been barred from joining the negotiation team. (CCTV News)
