Codex is leveling up OpenAI has launched a Codex plugin that seamlessly integrates into Claude's workflow for second-round reviews. Basically, you don’t need to switch environments anymore—you can directly use another large model for cross-validation of code. The core commands are just three, and the scenarios are clearly divided: • /codex:review: Runs a regular code review, perfect for routine secondary checks. • /codex:adversarial-review: Bug-hunting mode (highly recommended). Specifically designed to nitpick, ideal for high-risk operations like auth modifications, infrastructure scripts, or major refactoring. It’s great for catching those hidden bugs lurking beneath the surface. • /codex:rescue: If Claude gets stuck and can’t handle something, you can hand it over to Codex with one click. A few practical features: • Supports background processing: Reviewing code won’t block the main workflow. • Extremely lightweight: No separate runtime environment needed—it directly uses your locally configured Codex CLI, MCP, and authentication. • Mandatory review gating: You can lock it so Claude can’t proceed to the next step until Codex finishes its review (use cautiously—this can easily trap Claude and Codex in a deadlock, burning tokens like crazy ).
