This marks the first time a licensed virtual asset platform in Hong Kong has simultaneously assisted retail and institutional clients with 24/7 fiat currency exchanges, allowing more users to enjoy a funding experience close to that of the native crypto market.
Previously, the exchange of HKD and USD was limited to working hours, making it difficult for institutions to hedge at night and for individuals to transfer funds in a timely manner. With the opening of overnight currency exchange, HashKey Exchange will assist in processing requests outside of bank working hours, enabling users to complete exchanges at any time without waiting for banks to open or performing additional operations.
