Meanwhile, Priceline has delivered huge returns for early investors. Since 2002, its stock price has risen over 60,000%.

Now, look at stock brokers. They used to be the highest-paid middlemen in the world. In 1975, brokers charged an average fee of $49 per trade!

Today, stock brokers are gradually disappearing. For most people, there’s no need to call a broker when you can trade stocks for free through Interactive Brokers (IBKR), Schwab (SCHW), or almost any platform. Schwab has risen 475% from 2003 to early this year. Interactive Brokers increased by 455% from 2013 to 2021.

These are all disruptive stocks. And the disruptor I’m focusing on now is disruptive cryptocurrency.

How is cryptocurrency a disruptor?

Most people view cryptocurrency as "internet money."

Bitcoin (BTC) is one such internet currency. The technology behind it—blockchain—automates trust between strangers. It will become the ultimate middleman killer.

Think about when you buy stocks; you don’t know the person selling you the shares. Or when you shop online, you send money to a stranger.
