December 18, 2024 — The Sophon mainnet has officially launched, introducing the first ZKsync Validium supported by Avail DA. Through the Sophon staking program, the total TVL has exceeded $500 million, and numerous well-known partners have joined the ecosystem. Sophon is paving new paths for scalable, consumer-centric blockchain applications.
This launch has received enthusiastic support from the community: over 5,800 independent participants purchased more than 120,000 node licenses, which are now available for collection. The $SOPH token is launching today (temporarily non-transferable), and all user transactions are free during the initial phase. Node holders will start earning rewards from January 1, 2025, and the full transferability and trading functionality of the token is expected to be realized in the first quarter of 2025.
