Important Events
The fraud trial of former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky is scheduled for September 17th, 2024.
The documentary "Vitalik: The Ethereum Story" will have its global release on September 18th.
The sentencing of the "hush money" case involving Trump, originally scheduled for September 18th, has been postponed to November 26th, three weeks after the U.S. presidential election on November 5th.
The Federal Reserve will announce its latest interest rate decision in the early hours of September 19th, Beijing time. The market generally predicts that the Fed will make a rate cut decision at this meeting, with the key question being whether it will be a 25 or 50 basis point cut.
The confirmation hearing for the Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan of Terraform Labs Pte Ltd (TFL) and Terraform Labs Limited (TLL) is scheduled for September 19th, 2024 at 22:00 Beijing time.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has set the final deadline for Bitcoin ETF options for around September 21st, but after this, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will need to take further action. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart predicts that Bitcoin ETF options may be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
Project Developments
Solana's atomic SVM Layer 2 Sonic plans to launch a $12.8 million HyperFuse node sale, expected to be conducted in three phases: a lottery on September 16th, public whitelist issuance on September 18th, and public sale on September 19th. Node purchasers can receive token rewards for contributing to the security of the HyperGrid network, and nodes can be run on a computer or cloud server.
VanEck will close and liquidate its Ethereum futures ETF "EFUT," with fund shareholders able to sell their shares on the fund's listed exchange until the close of business on September 16th, 2024 (may incur broker-dealer trading fees).
Binance Launchpool will launch Catizen (CATI), with mining starting at 8:00 on September 16th, 2024. Users will be able to lock BNB and FDUSD for four days to receive CATI airdrops. Additionally, Binance will list CATI on September 20th at 18:00.
Trump announced that his cryptocurrency project World Liberty Financial will officially launch on September 16th. The project aims to "embrace the future of cryptocurrency" and "abandon outdated large banks." The project will be based on the decentralized finance platform Aave and the Ethereum blockchain, and will focus on the "credit account system." Corey Caplan, co-founder of the derivative protocol Dolomite, has been appointed as a project advisor.
Firo (FIRO) will undergo a network upgrade and hard fork at block height 958,655 (expected around 13:00 on September 16th). Binance is expected to suspend Firo (FIRO) token deposits and withdrawals at 12:00 on September 16th to support its network upgrade and hard fork.
Binance's isolated margin trading system will undergo a system upgrade at 15:15 on September 16th, 2024, which is expected to take about 30 minutes. During the upgrade, Binance's isolated margin trading service may experience instability.
Privacy public chain Namada stated that the Pre-Genesis Stage 1 will end at 5:00 on September 17th, Beijing time. In Stage 2 (delegation), users can still create validator nodes, but will be unable to edit or delete them.
The Eigen Foundation announced that the second season of Stakedrop is set to unlock, rewarding key contributors and participants in the ecosystem, including stakers and operators, ecosystem partners, and the community. The total amount of EIGEN allocated for the second season to stakers and operators is approximately 70 million EIGEN (about 4.2% FDV); the ecosystem partners' total allocation is up to 10 million EIGEN (about 0.6% FDV); and the community's total allocation is approximately 6 million EIGEN (about 0.35% FDV). Token claiming will open on or before September 17th.
The third season activity (Season 3) airdrop checker for ether.fi is set to launch on September 17th and will be open for claiming on September 23rd. Participating users can choose to claim ETHFI tokens on the Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, or Base before September 15th.
Sushi has postponed the launch of its meme token launchpad product Dojo to September 17th.
The social app Focus, built on DeSo, has been postponed to be released on September 18th at 2:11 AM Beijing time.
Binance Japan will delist XEM on September 18th.
DeFi protocol Sky (formerly MakerDAO) announced that from September 18th, eligible users can upgrade DAI to USDS at a 1:1 ratio, or exchange supported cryptocurrencies for USDS, unlocking Sky token rewards in the form of SKY tokens and the Sky Savings Rate.
Binance will list SUI coin-margined perpetual contracts with up to 20x leverage at 18:00 on September 18th.
HashKey Exchange will open ARB/USD trading at 16:00 on September 19th, 2024.
Bybit Web3's "Babylon Season" event will continue until September 20th, aiming to enhance BTC ecosystem liquidity and distribute rewards to participating projects including PumpBTC, Solv, B² Network, pStake, Bedrock, and Babypie.
Catizen token CATI will be released on September 20th, and will be listed on exchanges such as Binance, Bitget, and Bybit at 18:00.
Decentralized derivatives trading platform Rollup.Finance will cease operations, and the infrastructure will be fully shut down after September 21st, 2024. Users will have one month to close positions and withdraw funds.

- Arbitrum (ARB) will unlock 92.65 million tokens, worth approximately $49.19 million, accounting for 2.65% of the circulating supply, on September 16th at 21:00.
- SPACE ID (ID) will unlock 78.49 million tokens, worth approximately $27.19 million, accounting for 18.23% of the circulating supply, on September 22nd at 8:00.
- ApeCoin (APE) will unlock 15.6 million tokens, worth approximately $11.46 million, accounting for 2.31% of the circulating supply, on September 17th at 8:00.
