On July 14th, after the launch of the Blink feature, the first ecological community token $SEND was officially fundraised and issued. The official set a hard cap of 999 SOL, and ultimately received deposits of 720,000 SOL (the excess will be refunded), worth over 100 million US dollars, surpassing the 41 million WATER tokens raised in June, becoming the token with the highest presale amount on the Solana chain.

This is not the first time SEND has become a hot topic. On July 7th, SEND had previously released 100,000 NFTs through the Blinks feature. This series of NFTs saw prices soar after going online, with the highest single-day increase reaching 10 times, surpassing well-known NFTs such as BAYC and Punks, becoming the top performer across the entire network.

Will the content and products related to Blink become a new gathering place for wealth passwords? After research, PANews believes that Blink may build a unique ecosystem, but it is still in the early pioneering stage. Previously, we had written about the features of Blink. Presale fundraising exceeds 100 million US dollars, poor performance after listing

SEND's official introduction is "a community token used to incentivize interaction and development on BLINKS on Solana," and its tweet was once retweeted by Toly, co-founder of Solana. The team behind it has not been revealed yet. From SEND's official website, it is likely that SEND will provide token minting, trading, and other functions around Blinks. The website currently only has a simple webpage and does not support interaction.

Among the products that have been approved for Blink functionality, many have already been put into market use. Although SEND has not yet released any products or tools, as the first project to officially issue tokens on the Blink platform, raising over 100 million US dollars indirectly proves the high market expectations for Blink. Ultimately, SEND still adhered to the hard cap of 999 SOL and returned the remaining SOL to users. However, perhaps due to the small total pool of tokens, the token did not experience a surge in price after going online, but instead rapidly fell after reaching a high.

155 products have been approved in the ecosystem, or will it become a strong competitor to Pump.fun?

After nearly 2 weeks of development, the new projects on Blink have seen rapid growth, from a few initial demonstration contents to 155 projects listed as of July 15, with 153 marked as trusted and 2 marked as malicious. Many of these projects have only registered links and do not yet have any product content on their webpages.

In addition, among these approved projects, 25 are domains specifically registered for Blink, and the rest are applications registered by projects compatible with Blink functionality in the Solana ecosystem. However, some developers have exposed that Solana's review efficiency is low, and ZEN, the founder of blinkeditor, stated that it took 10 days for his three Blink products to be approved. However, from PANews' observation, after ZEN's complaint, the review speed of Blink has improved significantly. On average, 5 new products are approved for launch every day.

Among the launched Blink products, the ones that have garnered more attention from the community are blnk.fun and blinkeditor (the official account of blinkeditor is currently suspended), both of which integrate the function of issuing tokens with one click. From the user experience, the token issuance process is similar to Pump.fun, where users only need to set parameters such as quantity, price, and description to publish a token, and after sharing it on social media such as Twitter, it can be directly purchased by users.

The current functionality is still in its early stages, and there have not been any tokens with phenomenal impact yet. However, from the perspective of product features, tokens issued through Blink have several advantages over Pump.fun.

Will Blink bring a new wealth effect after going online? The first token SEND raised over 100 million US dollars, but the ecosystem is still in the early pioneering stage

Firstly, the dissemination of MEME tokens on Blink can be directly shared and purchased on Twitter, which maximizes the use of the disseminator's social influence. Once the distribution function, which is still under development, goes online, it is foreseeable that it will maximize the community's dissemination capabilities.

In addition, besides the one-click token issuance function, Pump.fun's biggest advantage has been its social functions that can form a platform for aggregating MEME coin information, which is no longer considered an advantage compared to Twitter. Furthermore, the lack of developer identity verification and community influence indicators, which have always been lacking in Pump.fun, can be more intuitively presented on social media such as Twitter.

However, Blink may still find it difficult to replace Pump.fun as a gathering place for wealth in the short term. Compared to Pump.fun, Blink's functionality overly relies on the personal influence of the issuer, and there is currently no platform for aggregating token information, which could lead to insufficient traffic concentration.

Or will it build a new ecosystem?

After a few days of experience and research, PANews found that Blink may build a new ecosystem. A batch of tool products will gradually appear around Blink, such as Blink product aggregation (blinkfans), MEME coin issuance (blnk.fun), one-click publishing of Blink links (blinks.best), etc. Artists or influential figures can develop their own MEME tokens or NFTs through these platforms' tools without code and issue them directly on social media. Users can attempt to profit by discovering these potential wealth passwords. Developers will need to adjust their products and develop new requirements according to market needs. This kind of ecosystem development may not be limited to the crypto field in the future; for Twitter, it seems like adding payment functionality to WeChat.

According to the content of SEND's article, there are already over dozens of ideas proposed. However, it may only be after these ideas are realized that a true Blink craze can be expected.

Of course, the products currently released in Blink are mostly centered around the issuance of MEME coins. Most of the approved links are new features added by old projects. For projects and openers with the ability to build an ecosystem, the competitive environment of Blink is still relatively relaxed. For ordinary investors, Blink should have the genes to produce wealth passwords, but in the current state, it may be more suitable for experiencing products and keeping an eye on them.
