The annual ETHDenver conference is currently underway, and Suji Yan, the founder of Mask Network, recently delivered a speech titled "Decentralized Social Revolution for Public Good" at the Denver conference, outlining his thoughts on the decentralized social revolution and his willingness to advance the path of decentralized social revolution through Mask Network.

Recently, the two major decentralized social application giants, Farcaster and Lens, have opened registrations, reigniting hope in the SocialFi track within the community. As a pioneer in the SocialFi track, Mask Network has evolved into a multifunctional platform, including the web plugin Mask.io, the application Mask X - Firefly App (Firefly), and its investment institution, Bonfire Union.

The Mask.io plugin now operates as middleware between various social platforms such as Facebook, Bluesky, and Lens. The launched Mask X - Firefly App (Firefly) is a web3 social aggregation application with social sources that can connect users from all social networks (X, Lens, Farcaster, Mirror, etc.). In addition, Mask Network and Firefly have jointly launched a $10 million builder program dedicated to further accelerating the development of all decentralized social protocols through subsidies.

Recently, Mask launched its second fundraising fund, with a total fund size of $100 million under management. The first fund's performance mainly covered a group of the hottest projects in the Web3 social protocol, including Lens, Galaxy, Cyberconnect, TON, and many other well-known social track products. In addition to social products, the fund also invested in projects such as Scroll, Orbiter Finance, Meson Network, and RSS3 in other tracks.

According to RootData, since 2024, Bonfire Union has invested in eight projects, including well-known projects such as AltLayer, 0xScope, and Orbiter Finance, covering decentralized social and infrastructure fields.

In early February, Mask Network established a strategic partnership with the emerging Asian venture capital firm BlockBooster, focusing on promoting high-quality projects in the social, gaming, and Web3 infrastructure fields. It is foreseeable that Mask Network will build an anticipated investment portfolio based on its own strengths. With the recent resurgence of AI in the crypto world, Mask Network has also been deeply involved in the AI social product Chirper, aiming to establish more social interactions between people and agents.

In addition to investments, Mask Network has been very generous in project funding. Since 2021, Mask has initiated three rounds of Web3 social ecosystem funding, supporting approximately 100 outstanding Web3 innovation projects. In November 2023, Mask Network's entity, Sujitech, donated $100,000 to the non-profit decentralized social media Mastodon. This donation is the largest single donation Mastodon has received to date. In addition to donations, the Mask Network team will also collaborate with Mastodon to upgrade the system.

As mentioned earlier, at the 2024 ETHDenver conference, Mask Network founder Suji Yan delivered a speech on the decentralized social revolution for public good, once again demonstrating Suji and Mask Network's commitment to decentralized social engagement to the entire crypto world. A project that has remained active on the front line through two bull and bear cycles is not only due to the founder and team's dedication but also to the energy field formed by the product's own charm.

In December 2023, Mask established a non-profit entity, Mask Network Academy, to provide funding and technical support to top universities and journalism projects worldwide, aiming to promote Web3 research and storytelling. In Suji's speech, we can also catch a glimpse of the imagination and motivation that a good story brings to people.

In his speech, Suji mentioned that the purpose of Mask Network is to promote a new round of social revolution, stating, "We believe that a true revolution will come, whether it's in 10 or 20 years, using our balance sheet and DAO to systematically help the revolution. I believe that one day we will have a great network space alliance, and there will be an independent network space."

Suji was once a contributor to the Anti-996 License on GitHub, and around Mask Network is a group of people with great aspirations and willingness to act for a better society.
