Who said the EU is slow? Today Lithuania signed the SAFE loan agreement: nearly €6.4 billion for defence. A first advance of nearly €1 billion will be paid within three months. Funds will strengthen Lithuanian national division, air defence, artillery and ammunition stocks, counter‑mobility. SAFE lets Europe deliver faster and at scale. Together, we are closing critical capability gaps and defending our shared security. Security of Europe begins on the Eastern flank.(Gitanas Nausėda)
