Proud to share a major milestone for @NatilusAero. We’ve led a $28M Series A to help bring blended-wing-body aircraft from vision to reality - joined by strong strategic and institutional partners including @flexport, @typeonevc, New Vista Capital, @TheVeteranFund, and Wave Function®. This funding takes Natilus through full-scale manufacturing of KONA, their regional cargo aircraft, and pushes the program toward first flight. At the same time, the team is unveiling HORIZON EVO: an evolved dual-deck, blended-wing-body passenger aircraft that integrates real-world FAA and airline feedback while remaining compatible with today’s airport infrastructure. What excites me most: this is not incremental improvement. Natilus is rethinking aviation from first principles. They are breaking free from the tube-and-wing constraints to unlock step-change gains in efficiency, sustainability, and economics for cargo, defense, and passenger travel. The team has made exceptional progress over the past year, from customer traction and IP expansion to manufacturing planning and talent growth. With a clear path ahead, Natilus is moving steadily toward commercialization later this decade. The future of aviation looks very different, and Natilus is helping build it.(Tim Draper)
