[Abu Dhabi National Oil Company: New Strait of Hormuz Bypass Pipeline to Be Operational in Early 2027] According to Jinse Finance, on October 28th, sources familiar with the matter revealed that the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has informed some Asian refiners that crude oil supplies from some of its offshore oil fields may begin to be transported via a newly built pipeline starting early next year, helping the company bypass the currently obstructed Strait of Hormuz. The sources stated that ADNOC has indicated plans to supply some Upper Zakum crude oil to long-term contract customers through the Fujairah terminal starting in early 2027. This crude oil originates from oil fields in the Persian Gulf. Adnoc stated in May that it was accelerating construction and that the pipeline would be completed next year, but did not provide further details. Under the annually renewed long-term supply agreements, the crude oil will be delivered in Fujairah. This means that buyers will not need to send tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, which still faces the threat of Iranian attacks, to load crude oil.
