[Poll: U.S. Voters Prefer Federal Unified Regulation of Prediction Markets Over State-by-State Approach] According to The Block, two polls commissioned by the Prediction Market Alliance show that both Republican and Democratic voters in the U.S. favor a federal unified regulatory framework for prediction markets over a state-by-state approach. In the Republican poll, 48% supported a federal framework, while 27% preferred state-level regulation; in the Democratic poll, 45% supported federal rules, while 35% favored state-level regulation. Only 8% of respondents believed prediction markets should be made illegal, with the majority of voters agreeing that consumers should have the right to choose whether to participate. Among voters under the age of 35, more than half have either used or expressed interest in prediction markets. The poll was released as the CFTC, Kalshi, Polymarket, and other platforms are engaged in jurisdictional disputes over prediction markets with various states. On Tuesday, Kalshi filed a lawsuit against Illinois' new law, while on the same day, the CFTC filed a lawsuit against Kentucky.
