NOXCAT made an appearance at MYBW 2026, proposing that the next phase of Web3 should bear complexity shouldered by products rather than users, driving wallets to evolve into consumer-level daily financial applications.

From July 29 to 30, Malaysia Blockchain Week 2026 (MYBW 2026) was held at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. As one of the important Web3 industry events in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, this conference brought together industry participants from blockchain infrastructure, digital assets, DeFi, institutional finance, wallets, security, AI, and Web3 applications to discuss the next phase of Web3 development in the Asia-Pacific market.

As a Platinum Sponsor of MYBW 2026, NOXCAT deeply participated in the conference, with NOXCAT Chief Product Officer Wesley delivering a keynote speech titled “From Wallet to Consumer App,” sharing NOXCAT's product insights and future plans around large-scale user adoption of Web3, wallet product shapes, security architecture, and the development direction of consumer-level applications.

From Wallet to Consumer App: The Next Phase of Web3 Needs to Address Complexity, Not Functionality

In the past few years, Web3 infrastructure has experienced rapid development. From higher-performance blockchains and lower transaction costs to cross-chain bridges, DeFi protocols, wallets, and liquidity infrastructure, on-chain financial systems have increasingly rich functionalities.

However, from the perspective of the average consumer, technological advancements have not fully translated into a simpler user experience.

Users still need to understand networks, Gas, signatures, authorizations, cross-chain, liquidity, and even smart contract risks, and each new infrastructure choice increases the judgment costs users must bear.

The NOXCAT CPO stated in the Keynote Speech that consumers are not rejecting blockchain; they are rejecting complexity. True Web3 products aimed at the mass market should not require users to first become blockchain experts but should have the products assume the underlying technical complexities.

Thus, NOXCAT's judgment for the next phase of Web3 products is that it must not be about making users see more blockchains, but rather letting blockchains gradually retreat to the backend of the product.

As emphasized in the Keynote Speech, the future better Web3 experience should be “Curated by default, Open by design”—the product should first provide users with a curated and judgement-based default path while still retaining openness and user autonomy.

NOXCAT Wallet: Gradually Moving Complex On-chain Operations to the Product Backend

This product philosophy is also gradually being realized in the NOXCAT Wallet.

The NOXCAT Wallet Beta has been launched, integrating features such as social login, multi-chain asset management, friend transfers, encrypted communication, NOXCAT Escrow on-chain guaranteed transactions, Swap, Staking, and more into a single application.

Unlike traditional wallets that build interactions around addresses and transactions, NOXCAT aims to further lower the cognitive barrier for users entering Web3.

Users can log in with Google, Apple, or Email, establish contact relationships through NOXCAT UID, QR codes, or links, and directly communicate, transfer, or initiate guaranteed transactions with contacts. For users, the transfer targets are no longer just a long, difficult-to-recognize string of wallet addresses but gradually become an identifiable and interactive “contact.” NOXCAT Escrow further locks down assets through smart contracts and settles after transaction conditions are fulfilled, thereby reducing counterparty risk in peer-to-peer asset trading.

The common logic behind these features is to re-integrate operations originally scattered across multiple wallets, protocols, and applications, allowing users to focus more on “What do I want to accomplish,” rather than “Which chain, which protocol or which path should I use for this operation.”

Simplifying Experience Does Not Mean Sacrificing Asset Control

While reducing product complexity, security remains a core foundation in NOXCAT's product design.

The NOXCAT CPO particularly emphasized in the MYBW keynote speech: hiding complexity does not mean hiding risk; simplifying the experience should not come at the cost of sacrificing asset ownership.

Based on this principle, NOXCAT separates Access, Secure Vault, and Identity: the login is responsible for user access to applications and syncing encrypted data, Secure Vault protects wallets and sensitive information, and the Identity Layer is used to establish the user’s identity relationships in Web3 and social interactions.

In this architecture, logging in does not equal identity, and identity does not equal asset wallet. Sensitive information is decrypted locally on the user's device, allowing users to maintain control over their assets.

This design seeks to resolve a longstanding contradiction in Web3 wallets: how to maintain self-custody and security while making the product experience closer to what users are already familiar with in Web2 applications.

From Asset Management Tools to Everyday Finance

NOXCAT's judgment on the future form of wallets does not only rest on "easier-to-use wallets."

Traditional wallets are typically opened only when users need to transfer, Swap, connect DApps, or manage assets, which means that wallets are essentially still low-frequency tools.

NOXCAT aims to change this.

In the NOXCAT team's view, what truly matters for consumer-grade products is not how long users stay per usage session, but whether the product can continuously create reasons for users to return every day. Therefore, NOXCAT hopes to gradually integrate communication, payment, investment, identity, membership, and other digital rights into a unified user experience.

Within this vision, the boundaries of the NOXCAT Wallet will gradually expand from Crypto Wallet to a broader scope of Everyday Finance.

In the future, users may no longer face fragmented experiences of Crypto Wallets, stock accounts, gold investment platforms, payment tools, membership cards, and reward apps, but rather a unified entry point: still supported by underlying blockchain, cryptography, cross-chain infrastructure, and various financial service providers, yet complex technical paths will be handled by the system, leaving users to see their assets, contacts, payments, investments, and services themselves.

NOXCAT summarizes this direction as:

One App. Everyday Finance.

The wallet still exists but gradually becomes hidden behind consumer-grade applications.

Moving Technology to the Background, Bringing Users Back to Their Needs

An important trend presented at MYBW 2026 is that discussions in the Web3 industry are shifting from solely pursuing infrastructure performance to encompassing institutional adoption, asset security, real-world assets, user experience, and broader consumer-level applications.

This also resonates with NOXCAT's current product direction.

As Web3 infrastructure matures gradually, the competition in the next phase may no longer be just about “who has more features,” but rather who can reorganize complex infrastructures into products that ordinary users can truly understand and use.

NOXCAT's answer shared at this MYBW is not to simplify Web3 itself because security, liquidity, cross-chain, digital identity, and financial product choices remain complex; the real need for change is determining who shoulders this complexity.

Complexity should be borne by the product, not the user.

From Wallet to Consumer App, NOXCAT hopes to preserve the asset ownership, security, and open financial capabilities brought by blockchain, while making the underlying technology gradually "invisible," ultimately transforming Web3 from a technical tool that requires learning to use into a consumer-grade product that can naturally integrate into daily finance and digital life.

This is also the core direction behind NOXCAT’s “Feel Nothing. Do Everything.” product philosophy.
