Gate announces that its stock trading services will undergo an important upgrade, becoming the first exchange in the industry to offerzero fees for US stocks and ETFs. After the upgrade, qualified buy and sell orders for US stocks and ETFs will not incur trading fees on the Gate platform, and no minimum trading fees, account opening fees, or account maintenance fees will be imposed, further reducing the cost of user participation in the US stock market and optimizing the global asset trading experience.

Aside from platform trading fees, the costs that users may incur during trading mainly include US market-related settlement fees, regulatory fees, and third-party fees like American Depositary Receipt (ADR) custody fees. The aforementioned fees are executed according to the rules of regulatory agencies, clearing institutions, and custodian banks, and are borne by users based on actual transaction circumstances.

Among them, settlement fees apply to stock purchases and sales, with a fee standard of $0.003 per share, not exceeding 0.05% of the transaction amount; SEC regulatory fees and Transaction Activity fees (TAF) are only charged upon selling stocks, calculated at 0.000206 of the principal sale for amounts sold (exempt for single sale amounts ≤$500) and $0.000195 per share (exempt for selling ≤50 shares, with a maximum fee of $9.79 per single execution); Comprehensive Audit Tracking fees (CAT) apply to stock purchases and sales, with a cost standard of $0.000003 per share; for American Depositary Receipt (ADR) assets, the ADR issuer or custodian bank may charge custody fees based on actual rules, typically around $0.01–0.03 per share, with specifics in accordance with the relevant rules. Additionally, after the zero-fee upgrade, trading in US stocks will no longer count towards the total trading volume for VIPs.
