HashKey builds a complete On-Chain ecological network from protocol layer to application layer through the dual-line connection of institutional forums and developer hackathons.

WebX Tokyo 2026 is one of the largest Web3 summits in Asia, bringing together top blockchain project parties, institutional investors, and industry builders from around the world each year. It is a core window for observing the forefront trends of the Web3 industry. This year, multiple lines of business of HashKey Group jointly attended the summit and held two high-profile side events in succession.

Institutional Forum: The Japanese Narrative of On-Chain Financial Infrastructure

The On-Chain Finance Forum Tokyo hosted by HashKey brought together over a hundred participants, including representatives from financial institutions, blockchain project parties, institutional investors, and local Web3 practitioners.

HashKey On-Chain Business Group CEO Leo Li delivered the opening speech; Rachel Qiu (Head of BD at HashKey Group and COO of HashKey On-Chain) systematically elaborated on the overall path of empowering institutions with the theme "Building On-Chain Financial Infrastructure"; Serena Wang (Head of HSK Eco Labs) focused on "From CeDeFi to the Future," providing an in-depth interpretation of how HashKey Chain redefines on-chain finance; Matthew Dawson, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the Ethereum Foundation, provided industry references for the forum from an external perspective, focusing on the theme of institutional adoption of Ethereum.

The forum also highlighted the latest released HSK 2.0 white paper. The white paper systematically elaborates on how HashKey Chain steadily promotes the core path and technical direction of institutional-level on-chain finance.

The panel discussion centered around two core issues of institutional-level on-chain finance. Panel 1, titled "Bridging RWA and On-Chain Liquidity," invited representatives from Ondo Finance, Asseto, DigiFT, and Compound Foundation to discuss a new paradigm of institutional finance integrating RWA and on-chain liquidity; Panel 2, titled "The Institutional Yield Stack: Where TradFi Meets On-chain Finance," gathered representatives from Franklin Templeton Japan, OKJ, BitGo, and Babylon, focusing on the practical paths and market opportunities for traditional financial institutions in the layout of on-chain yields.

Heads of multiple lines of business at HashKey also engaged in in-depth discussions with local partners and potential customers in Japan regarding future cooperation directions, further advancing HashKey's business layout in the Japanese market.

Hackathon Demo Day: On-Chain Practices in AI and DeFi Tracks

The Japan Horizon Hackathon, hosted by HSK Chain and co-organized by FEB Event and AKINDO, welcomed the final presentation of results after nearly a month of selection.

Demo Day featured final roadshows and two panel discussions. Panel 1 focused on whether on-chain finance can become "truly utilized financial infrastructure," discussing key conditions for regulatory compliance, user experience, and institutional collaboration around issues like stablecoins, banking UX, and public chain implementation; Panel 2 focused on user boundaries of Web3 products in the era of AI Agents, discussing the degree of automation in on-chain execution, user trust mechanisms, and design directions for AI-native products. Developers, investors, and ecological partners from Japan and various parts of Asia observed the presentations of the shortlisted teams and engaged in deep Q&A regarding technical paths, commercial potential, and ecological collaboration, laying the foundation for subsequent resource connectivity and ecological support for outstanding projects.

From WebX to the Japanese Market: HashKey's On-Chain Ecological Strategy

The consecutive holding of the two side events marks further implementation of HashKey Group's strategy in deepening the Japanese market. As one of the most mature crypto markets in terms of global compliance regulation, Japan is ushering in a new acceleration cycle for institutional-level Web3 applications. Through the dual-line connection of institutional forums and developer hackathons, HashKey both provides on-chain infrastructure solutions to traditional financial institutions in Japan and continues to activate the innovative vitality of the local developer community, constructing a complete On-Chain ecological network from protocol layer to application layer.
