PANews April 29 news, ZetaChain announced an update on platform X, stating that on April 27, ZetaChain suffered a premeditated targeted attack, in which the attackers used Tornado Cash to fund accounts and forged wallet addresses. Cross-chain ZETA transfers were unaffected, and user funds were not impacted. All affected wallets were under ZetaChain’s control. A patch for the mainnet has been deployed, and cross-chain transactions will be re-enabled after continuous monitoring. The attack affected specific arbitrary call functions of GatewayEVM, resulting in a total loss of approximately $334,000 across four connected chains.
