The law enforcement agencies used on-chain analysis tools from Chainalysis and TRM Labs to investigate various types of scam cases, including impersonating public officials, investment, online romance, and job hunting, completing over 90 offline and remote interventions and successfully intercepting involved funds exceeding 2.86 million yuan. The police pointed out that efficient inter-agency and public-private information sharing was key to this operation, and they will continue to strengthen cooperation to regularly prevent various fraud risks arising from cryptocurrencies.
