According to the official announcement, Binance Wallet will launch the Sentient (SENT) Pre-TGE Prime Sale on January 19.
The event will take place from 12:00 to 14:00 (UTC) on January 19, 2026, and eligible users will need Binance Alpha points to participate.
The infrastructure protocol ETHGas announced the launch of a new governance token $GWEI, aimed at managing programmable block space protocols, with the goal of bringing Ethereum into an era of "real-time execution, predictable costs, and large-scale gas-free transactions." $GWEI holders can participate in governance, delegate voting, protocol proposals, and emergency decisions.

According to records from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, former co-CEO of Alameda Research Caroline Ellison will be released from federal prison on January 21, 2026. Caroline Ellison was previously transferred from a Connecticut prison to community confinement in October.
On December 20, the U.S. SEC issued a lawsuit notice stating that former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is still serving time in federal prison for fraud, while executives including Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of Alameda Research, have agreed to a settlement that still requires court approval.
