Crypto.com announced it has received conditional approval from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) to operate as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), making it the first digital‑asset firm to obtain such authorization in the jurisdiction. The license builds on Crypto.com’s earlier VASP registration in August 2022 and will allow the company to expand its exchange platform for advanced traders and institutions.

“ Crypto.com has built our foundation for growth and success on regulation and compliance,” said Kris Marszalek, Co‑Founder and CEO of Crypto.com. The firm expects full authorization in the coming months after submitting the remaining required materials, enabling broader product offerings in line with local market regulations.
