Breaking the Deadlock of MEV and Bot Front-Running, Development Team Ellipsis Labs Launches New Project.
Author: Nancy, PANews
Increase Bandwidth Reduce Latency is an important concept frequently mentioned by Solana co-founder toly, which has brought recent attention to the MEME coin IBRL of the same name. Meanwhile, Gavel, the emerging Launchpad platform behind IBRL, has become a new star in the Solana ecosystem by tackling challenges such as MEV and bot front-running.
Breaking the Deadlock of MEV and Bot Front-Running, Development Team Ellipsis Labs Launches New Project
Recently, Gavel has sparked heated discussions on social media with its innovative mechanism and has received multiple public mentions and affirmations from toly.
According to reports, Gavel is a full-chain capital formation and liquidity launch platform aimed at Solana, dedicated to solving common issues in the current on-chain financing process, such as bot front-running, MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) attacks, and liquidity squeezes.
Gavel's core mechanisms include: a fair distribution mechanism (supporting various public issuance methods, distributing tokens based on investment ratios, etc.), an anti-sniping mechanism (preventing bots from profiting from front-running, ensuring financing prices are consistent with launch trading prices), an anti-squeeze AMM (a dedicated AMM architecture designed to prevent front and back trading from exploiting users), temporary liquidity (automatically recapturing liquidity funds in batches for token buyback and destruction), as well as on-chain governance and automated execution.
In simple terms, Gavel's design philosophy is to reduce the negative impact of MEV on users and projects through technical means, enhance the fairness and security of token issuance, and provide efficient, low-cost financing and liquidity launch solutions for Solana projects.
To showcase Gavel's full-process capabilities, the team has specially launched the test token $IBRL, which is used to realistically simulate the complete mechanism of "public offering + launch + liquidity recapture + token destruction." This token has no current or future use, and 100% of the funds are used to validate Gavel's operational logic.
The public sale of $IBRL attracted a total of 2,480 investors, raising a total of 30,747 SOL. As of the time of writing, Gavel's data shows that the market capitalization of $IBRL has exceeded $36 million, with a trading volume of approximately $32 million in the past 24 hours. Currently, about 3.97 million $IBRL have been destroyed, with approximately 17,000 SOL remaining to be destroyed.
The development company Ellipsis Labs is the driving force behind Gavel and is a star development team in the Solana ecosystem, having launched well-known projects such as Phoenix, SolFi, and SolFi, and received investment support of tens of millions of dollars from Paradigm, Robot Ventures, Paradigm, and toly himself. Co-founder Jarry Xiao previously worked at Solana Labs, while another co-founder @0xShitTrader has publicly mentioned the negative impact of sandwich attacks on the Solana ecosystem multiple times and participated in research on anti-sandwich attack AMM (sr-AMM) in collaboration with executives from Paradigm and the unofficial Solana research institution Umbra Research. Gavel's sr-AMM is a result of this research.
From this perspective, Gavel does not attempt to compete with low-threshold MEME launch platforms like Pump.fun, Letsbonk.fun, and Believe, but rather focuses on providing a higher standard and stronger defensive capabilities for Solana projects that require structured financing.
For Solana, the emergence of Gavel not only provides project parties with more reliable issuance tools but may also become a key variable in attracting high-quality projects. It is worth noting that Franklin Templeton recently reported that 70% of AI agents prefer to deploy on Solana due to its high performance and low-cost trading characteristics, yet Solana has always been a hotspot for MEV.
Solana's MBTI Personality, IBRL Becomes an Alternative Community Culture
Since last year, toly has frequently mentioned "Increase Bandwidth Reduce Latency" in his tweets, positioning it as the core technical narrative for optimizing Solana's network performance. IBRL not only reflects Solana's technical vision in the blockchain field, which aims to lower the barriers to participating in decentralized capital markets through high throughput and low latency, but also showcases its ambition to replicate the depth and liquidity of traditional capital markets through technological innovation, aiming to eliminate high-cost intermediaries and enable ordinary users to participate in more mainstream markets at low costs.
In one tweet, toly humorously likened IBRL to Solana's "MBTI personality type," emphasizing its high performance and innovative characteristics in the blockchain field. He also shared a Solana roadmap website created by Helius CEO Mert Mumtaz, which contained only the word "IBRL," directly pointing to Solana's core philosophy.
Especially now, as Solana shows a rapid expansion trend in the RWA field, infrastructure like Gavel can provide professional pairing functions for tokenized assets, further opening up development space for RWA and helping to realize the narrative vision of IBRL. For example, Kraken announced a partnership with Backed to launch the xStock platform on the Solana blockchain, providing tokenized versions of U.S. stocks (such as Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia) for qualified customers outside the U.S.; the private Corda blockchain development team R3 will collaborate with Solana to enter the public "internet capital market," issuing over $10 billion in real-world on-chain assets by asset management companies, banks, etc.; Monetary Metals and ORO Labs have partnered to launch the first interest-earning gold token on Solana, providing a new asset class for institutional investors; online brokerage firm Robinhood submitted a 42-page RWA tokenization framework proposal to the SEC, explicitly mentioning Solana and Base as its preferred networks for RWA exchanges.
It can be said that IBRL is not just a synonym for Solana's performance optimization but is gradually evolving into a community cultural symbol and strategic vision, helping to build a high-performance on-chain capital market.
As one of the exploratory paradigms of this concept, Gavel is still in its early stages, and whether its mechanisms can be widely implemented in the future remains to be seen.
