Will $IP launch with a $20 billion FDV?
Of which, 58.4% of the $IP tokens will be allocated to the community to support ecological development?
Here is a discussion on token economics and price predictions.

“Wait, what is $IP?”
In simple terms, $IP is a token for Intellectual Property, launched by @StoryProtocol.
“Intellectual Property? What exactly does that refer to?”
Intellectual Property covers a wide range, including: patents (e.g., inventions, chemical solutions), trademarks (e.g., logos, words, phrases), copyrights (e.g., photos, emojis), trade secrets (e.g., proprietary information, business methods), design rights (visual design of products, industrial design), and plant breeders' rights (new plant varieties), among others.
@jasonjzhao has released their new white paper. The content of their white paper is very impressive, and I am particularly impressed by @StoryProtocol's multi-core layer architecture:
- Execution Layer
- Storage Layer
- Consensus Layer

Execution Layer: Responsible for processing transactions and executing smart contracts. This layer consists of multiple core modules that work together to ensure the normal operation of the protocol.
Storage Layer: Located between the execution layer and the consensus layer, similar to a database for the network. It abstracts the complexity of underlying data organization, providing users with a simplified storage experience.
Consensus Layer: Utilizes a Proof-of-Stake mechanism, where delegators and validators participate together to maintain the security and data integrity of the network.
**“So simply put, what does *@StoryProtocol* do?”**
@StoryProtocol aims to tokenize Intellectual Property (IP) to make it programmable, addressing real-world issues such as IP theft, and providing true ownership and control to IP holders.
Note: The mainnet may launch in a few weeks (or even days).
“So, what are the actual uses of $IP?”
Used for staking to support network operations;
Serves as the gas token on @StoryProtocol to pay transaction fees;
Participates in the governance of the $IP ecosystem, assisting in decision-making.
Additionally, a portion of $IP will be burned with each transaction, which may lead to a deflationary supply of tokens under certain conditions, thereby enhancing the scarcity and value of the tokens.

**“Can we compare *@StoryProtocol* with similar projects?”**
Since @StoryProtocol is an L1, we can compare it with the following projects:
$NEAR: An L1 blockchain focused on artificial intelligence;
$AR: An L1 blockchain focused on storage solutions;
$PEAQ: An L1 blockchain focused on decentralized IoT (DePin).
“If we compare FDV and market cap, what could the price of $IP be?”
If the fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $IP is the same as $NEAR, then $IP = $4;
If FDV = $AR, then $IP = $0.64;
If FDV = $PEAQ, then $IP = $1;
If the market cap of $IP is the same as $NEAR, then $IP = $15.24;
If the market cap = $AR, then $IP = $2.56;
If the market cap = $PEAQ, then $IP = $0.672.
“Is there a pre-market for $IP?”
Yes, currently on @Bybit_Official, the trading price of $IP is $3.15.
