As of December 31, the market capitalization of ai16z has approached the $2 billion mark, with an increase of over 40% in the past 24 hours. Notably, since the launch of the ai16z token on October 26, it has rapidly grown into a project with a market value close to $2 billion in less than two months, and its market popularity continues to rise.
As the "first AI-driven decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for investment," ai16z is a standout project in the current wave of AI Agents. Its launched AI Agent construction framework, Eliza, has successfully supported the issuance of hundreds of AI Agent projects, including the popular AI Agent token project aiPool, and has collaborated with Treasure DAO and Loot Realms to develop mini-games like Smolworl and Eternum.
According to GitHub data as of December 31, the autonomous agent framework Eliza developed by the ai16z team topped the GitHub trend chart for December.
With the dual driving force of "investment + Eliza development framework technology," ai16z has become a center for the incubation and production of AI Agent projects. So, what AI Agent projects are supported by ai16z as an AI Agent incubation center?
ai16z's New Goal: Launching the AI Agent Offering (IAO) Platform, Positioned as "L1 Blockchain for AI"
On December 28, the ai16z project disclosed important information on the governance forum HackMD: its proposal for 2025 will focus on expanding the application scenarios of the ai16z token to stimulate the vigorous development and growth of the ecosystem and promote the synergistic value-added effect among projects within the ecosystem. Two highlights of this proposal are particularly noteworthy: first, the plan to launch an AI Agent issuance platform, IAO; second, positioning ai16z as an L1 blockchain in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
Specifically, ai16z plans to launch the official ai16z Launchpad platform based on the Eliza AI Agent framework in the first quarter of 2025. This platform will draw on the model of Pump.fun and will be dedicated to launching AI Agent projects. It is reported that the platform will achieve this by acquiring existing technical teams.
When new AI projects release their tokens on this Launchpad platform, the platform will charge the project parties a launch fee and token trading fees. These fees will be divided into two parts: one part will be used to repurchase ai16z tokens from the market, and the other part will be injected into the ai16z token fund pool for pairing. At the same time, AI Agent developers must also purchase ai16z tokens to create a fund pool when launching new AI projects on the platform. Through various methods such as repurchase mechanisms and fund pool creation, a rich application scenario and value-added potential for ai16z tokens are provided.
In addition, ai16z is also considering positioning itself as an L1 blockchain for AI, aiming to build a decentralized general artificial intelligence (AGI) infrastructure. Once realized, the ai16z token will become the core asset of the public chain, serving as the basic transactional medium currency among AI Agent applications.
Overall, the key proposal put forward by the ai16z governance forum in 2025 focuses on optimizing the economic model of the ai16z token, aiming to comprehensively capture and enhance the value of the entire ecosystem. This proposal is dedicated to building a self-sustaining, robust economic system that cleverly links the interests of individual projects with the overall prosperity of the ai16z ecosystem by simplifying project launch processes, accelerating project growth, and ensuring market liquidity.
Since the announcement of this news on December 28, the market capitalization of ai16z tokens has surged from $1 billion to over $1.9 billion, marking a 100% increase. This significant market reaction indicates investors' expectations for the future of the ai16z proposal.

As of December 31, the virtual AI investment fund @pmarca managed by Marc Andreessen has a fund size of $30 million.
3. AI Trading Chatbot Degen Spartan AI (degenai)
Degen Spartan AI (degenai) is an autonomous trading AI chatbot developed by ai16z, playing the role of an AI trader within ai16z. Users typically converse with Degen Spartan AI before discussing investment decisions with ai16z, indirectly influencing ai16z's final decisions.
As of December 31, the degenai token is priced at approximately $0.08, with a market capitalization of about $90 million, and a 24-hour increase of about 40%. Additionally, part of the funds from ai16z's investment returns will also be used to repurchase degenai tokens.
4. AI Agent Autonomous Token Issuance Project aiPool Based on Eliza
aiPool is an AI Agent autonomous token issuance project built by a user named @Skely based on the Eliza framework. In this project, users inject funds into the AI Agent's address, and the AI Agent autonomously decides and issues tokens, even including the naming of the tokens.
Since @Skely is an active member of the ai16z DAO, this project has received multiple public endorsements from ai16z founder Shaw, resulting in high attention and popularity for the aiPool project.
On December 24, aiPool officially announced the issuance of its first token, successfully raising 25,000 SOL, worth approximately $4.72 million, within just 60 minutes after the presale began. Following this, the first meme coin project issued by aiPool—METAVERSE (METAV)—also announced its official launch. The market capitalization of METAV quickly rose to $90 million, rewriting the wealth creation legend in the crypto community. Although on December 31, the price of METAV adjusted to $0.048, with a market capitalization reduced to $48 million, its earlier outstanding performance remains noteworthy. However, the project's initiator @Skely's Twitter account has been frozen.
Subsequently, aiPool issued tokens such as $COSMIC_GIGGLE, $NORMIEPILL, $HYPERBOLE, $HYPERREALITY, and $HYPERREAL, but none gained the popularity of METAV.
