The matter of 5G

The situation with 5G and electric vehicles is quite clear. When Europe and the United States were leading, they promoted a global unified market and free trade, but they used standards to restrict you. They said, "I want to establish a 5G network and electric vehicles; your products are not acceptable, they do not meet the standards."

However, your domestic market must be open; otherwise, you would be isolating yourself, going back to the Qing Dynasty, becoming the "sick man of East Asia," and so on…

But once you develop your own products, they first accuse you of infringing on intellectual property, and pretend to compete for a while, engaging in lawsuits. Then, when they realize they can't win that way, they simply change their stance and say your products have backdoors, which concerns national security. Security is no small matter, so you must change, right? At least new devices cannot enter the market.

By the way, I am reminded of the story of the "secure Taiwanese pager." 😂

Why can Europe and the United States do this? Initially, they relied on technological advantages, but when that technological gap narrows, they start to isolate themselves (the concerns about security are merely excuses for isolation).

Does this feel a bit familiar?

Despising the Qing Dynasty, understanding the Qing Dynasty, becoming the Qing Dynasty. 😂
