The U.S. SEC has postponed the deadline for deciding on the Hashdex Nasdaq cryptocurrency index ETF to September 30.
The U.S. vice presidential candidate debate is scheduled for October 1 local time (October 2 Beijing time) to take place, featuring current Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. It is unclear whether the two will address cryptocurrency-related topics. JD Vance was appointed by Trump as the Republican vice presidential candidate in July; he was a venture capitalist and disclosed in last year's annual report that he held Bitcoin worth between $100,000 and $250,000 through Coinbase as of 2022. Vance also has accounts with brokerage firms Robinhood and Charles Schwab. He has not submitted financial disclosures for 2023. His current net worth is estimated to be at least $5 million, up to $10.5 million. Vance is also one of the lawmakers supporting cryptocurrency legislation and is involved in drafting a bill that will reform how U.S. financial regulators oversee digital assets.
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has suspended the FTX Europe license until September 30, 2024.
The UK FCA has charged an individual for operating an illegal cryptocurrency ATM network, with the defendant set to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 30, 2024.
The Web3 fantasy sports platform Sorare will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on October 4 to respond to a licensing lawsuit from UK regulators.
Project Developments
BNB Chain plans to release the mainnet version of the Ethereum client Erigon 3 integrated with the Parlia protocol on September 30, while continuing to support Erigon 2 for a period to ensure a smooth transition.
The blockchain platform Chromia announced it will end the MVP mainnet phase on September 30, after which the network will transition to the "Chromia Mainnet."
Ethena Labs' second quarter ENA airdrop will be open for claims on September 30.
The decentralized settlement protocol Kima Network will end its Season 2 airdrop event on September 30.
OneKey released an announcement regarding the discontinuation of OneKey Card, stating that the specific discontinuation plan is divided into three phases: Phase One (September 30, 2024) allows users to continue spending and withdrawing normally, while registration and recharge functions will be discontinued; Phase Two (October 31, 2024) will see all cards automatically deleted by the system, with the card balances transferred to the user's OneKey Card wallet account, which can be withdrawn to exchange accounts or Web3 addresses at any time; Phase Three (January 31, 2025) will cease the services of OneKey Card. Users who upgraded their recharge will be refunded according to the rules to their OneKey Card wallet.
Polygon plans to launch the Eggfruit upgrade mainnet beta on September 30. The upgrade includes: introducing a new sequencer for better transaction ordering; bringing more stability to the Polygon zkEVM Beta; doubling the zkCounter, which provides a limit on the computational workload for generating proofs; and deprecating the old RPC nodes, among other changes.
The Safe{Pass} Season 1 points activity continues until September 30, 2024, where users can earn points by interacting with Safe smart accounts, and locking SAFE tokens qualifies users for point boosts.
Terra blockchain developer Terraform Labs is in talks with third parties to take over the operation of some of its products and services. If negotiations fail, Terraform Labs will shut down the relevant products and services on October 30, 2024. Affected products include Enterprise, Warp, Station wallet, and Alliance Hub. Services affected include the Finder block explorer, Foundation, IBC relayers, as well as Mantlemint, FCD, and API services.
UniSat announced that its decentralized trading platform PizzaSwap will launch on the Fractal mainnet on September 30.
Bitget will launch the Launchpool project CATS (CATS), with a total prize pool of 19.5 billion CATS, and the lock-up period will be from September 30, 18:00 to October 7, 18:00.
The cross-chain interoperability project Entangle has adjusted its NGL unlocking plan. According to the new scheme, private investors can choose to unlock all remaining tokens early on October 1, but must accept a 37.5% discount. KOLs can also choose full unlocking, but the discount rate will be 47.5%. The team token distribution remains unchanged, but 30% has been burned, and the unlocking period has been extended from the original 6 months to 12 months, with the total vesting period extended to 30 months. The deducted tokens will be deposited into a smart contract for marketing, grants, and project expenses.
The Grass Foundation stated that users must connect their Solana wallets by 8:00 AM on October 1 to receive the first airdrop rewards. If the deadline is missed, users will not be able to receive rewards from the first airdrop.
The L2 network Mode, built on OP Stack, was originally scheduled to end Season 2 on September 6, but will now continue until early October. Mode will increase the token allocation for Season 2, while other rules regarding point accumulation and on-chain TVL will remain unchanged.
Telegram & TON ecosystem application Tomarket plans to conduct its TGE in October, with the specific date yet to be announced.

Coinbase International plans to suspend MATIC-PERP trading around 6:30 PM on October 1 on Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced.
The third phase of the L1 blockchain Shardeum's incentive testnet Atomium will launch at 8:00 PM on October 1, lasting 3 to 4 weeks, and will conduct stress tests on P2P transmission/on-chain functionality and the validator network (including slashing features). Potential rewards include SHM airdrops, NFTs, XP, badges, and rewards from partners.
The Uniswap v4 security competition will end at 8:00 PM on October 1, with a prize pool of $2.35 million.
Bitstamp stated that due to the impending dissolution of the Aragon project, users must exchange their ANT for ETH before November 2024. Bitstamp will stop withdrawals on October 2, requiring immediate action to manage related assets.

The application deadline for a16z GAMES' SPEEDRUN 004 accelerator event is September 30.
The Aptos hackathon Code Collision registration deadline is September 30, with a total prize pool of $500,000 covering five tracks: DeFi/RWA, Gaming/NFTs, AI/DePIN, social, and other innovations.
Blast's 10-week Mobile Big Bang Bootcamp application deadline is September 30, taking place from October 14 to December 20, providing $250,000 in funding support for selected development teams. Any projects looking to build on or already building on Blast can apply.
Mainnet 2024 will be held in New York, USA from September 30 to October 2.
Arbitrum announced that the 8-week Security Subsidy Fund (SSF) will open for applications at 8:00 AM on October 1 and close at 7:59 AM on October 15. During its operation, the SSF will allocate $2.5 million worth of ARB to subsidize the costs of approved security services for applicable projects within the Arbitrum ecosystem. Arbitrum encourages all projects in need of security services to apply, and successful applicants will be eligible for security service subsidies from nine security service providers on the Arbitrum DAO whitelist.
The Blockchain Expo World will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands from October 1 to October 2, 2024.
The Blockchain Association will host an event on Capitol Hill on October 2, where CESS will showcase DePIN technology to members of Congress and discuss the future of decentralized networks with DePIN projects such as Helium and Filecoin, as well as their potential roles in key industries like data storage, energy, and telecommunications.
BuidlerDAO, in collaboration with ten universities worldwide, will hold a summit themed "AI x Crypto" in New York on October 3 at 9:00 AM, featuring guests from a16z, Dragonfly, Draper, Pantera, Solana, NEAR, Akash, Sonic, Flock.i, and others.

Optimism (OP) will unlock approximately 31.34 million tokens on September 30 at 8:00 AM, accounting for 2.50% of the current circulating supply, valued at about $60 million;
Immutable (IMX) will unlock approximately 32.47 million tokens on October 4 at 8:00 AM, accounting for 2.02% of the current circulating supply, valued at about $59 million;
ZetaChain (ZETA) will unlock approximately 53.89 million tokens on October 1 at 8:00 AM, accounting for 13.43% of the current circulating supply, valued at about $39 million;
dydx (DYDX) will unlock approximately 8.33 million tokens on October 1 at 8:00 AM, accounting for 1.32% of the current circulating supply, valued at about $9 million;

Proposal Voting
Jupiter has opened voting on the proposal for "Unclaimed 215 million JUP tokens," with voting ending on October 1. Voters have three options: 1. Provide additional funding for ASR for one more year; 2. Burn the tokens; 3. Return them to the community multisig.
The blockchain application platform Lisk has initiated a vote on whether to "retain or burn 100 million LSK tokens" (25% of the total capped supply of 400 million). This vote is scheduled to take place on the new Lisk DAO on September 24, lasting for 7 days until October 1. If the community chooses to allocate to the DAO fund, the 100 million LSK tokens will be allocated to the Lisk DAO fund. These tokens will vest to the fund from 2027 to 2033, with 15 million LSK tokens distributed each year for six years, and 10 million in the seventh year. If the community chooses to burn, the 100 million LSK tokens will be permanently removed from the total supply.
