The testnet incentive time is quite sufficient, and the official has also indicated that the mainnet will be launched as soon as possible, and there may not be a long-term PUA, so cherish it while you can.

Recently, the high-profile L2 narrative project Movement has been active after announcing a huge financing. Today, the Movement incentive testnet is released.

Introducing Move language, modular architecture, EVM parallelization, and more… There are too many technical innovations and advantages worth mentioning about the Movement project itself. This article will not elaborate further. Interested readers can refer to the TechFlow article by Deep Tide: Movement: Introducing Move to EVM, Reshaping Ethereum Ecosystem Security.

As a well-funded L2 project, the highly anticipated Movement incentive testnet, how to participate? Today, TechFlow of Deep Tide will give you a comprehensive understanding and initial participation in the large-scale incentive activities of Movement.

Preparation

Participating in the Movement testnet tasks requires downloading the Razor wallet and Nightly wallet of the Movement ecosystem, both of which can share the same mnemonic phrase, and you can directly receive water in the wallet.

Razor wallet download link: https://razorwallet.xyz

Nightly wallet download link: https://nightly.app/download

After downloading the two wallets, log in to Galxe and bind the three addresses of Sui, Aptos, and Movement Aptos in the account settings. The address binding of Movement Aptos requires the use of the Razor wallet.

Galxe account binding wallet address: https://app.galxe.com/accountSetting/wallet

After testing by the editor, the interaction experience of binding the wallet is a bit poor. It is recommended to only bind the Sui + Movement Aptos address.

How to participate in the MoveDrop incentive plan? (Specific participation method)

The official refers to this incentive testnet activity as "MoveDrop", and its intention is self-evident. The official fully understands that the most anticipated part of the project for most users is "Drop".

MoveDrop is open to all users, and the entire incentive plan can be divided into 4 activities that can be participated in + 3 types of rewards:

  1. ### Building the Parthenon

Target users: Everyone

Rewards: Resources and Ethos (similar to points)

Participation method: Through Galxe tasks + interaction with ecological projects

First, complete the Galxe's Movement column task:

The task content is relatively basic, basically visiting the page, answering questions, and following social media accounts.

Finally, join the Movement Discord to obtain the "Mover" role verification, but the Discord channel is currently full, so you can keep refreshing to wait for a vacancy or wait for the official to come up with a new solution.

The Parthenon is the focus of user participation in this activity. Users can complete tasks from different dimensions through five identities: Pathfinders, Creators, Explorers, Scholars, and Spartans.

Use the Qusets interface to check the current available tasks:

Check the current role growth situation in the Guilds/Inventory interface, which shows the progress of task completion:

Check the introduction of applications within the ecosystem in the APPS interface.

Previously, TechFlow of Deep Tide also compiled a list of projects worth paying attention to in the current Movement ecosystem. For details, see the article: Opportunity Outlook: A Comprehensive Review of the Ecosystem Map of the Well-Funded L2 Movement

This time, Movement has set a total of 300+ tasks. Completing all of them would be a considerable test of time and energy costs.

However, the official obviously takes into account the user experience, and the founder also tweeted that setting so many tasks is not to make users overwork. Users only need to complete 10% of the tasks for one role to be considered as effective participation.

In this testnet activity, the main battlefield for ordinary users to participate in is definitely Building the Parthenon. According to multiple tests by the editor, the difficulty of completing individual tasks is not high, but the current interaction experience is relatively poor. Situations include but are not limited to EVM addresses not being able to log in on the Galxe platform, wallet binding failures within the Galxe platform, and not being able to see the task list when entering the activity homepage. However, the interaction experience is relatively smooth at certain times.

It is speculated that this may be due to the start of the activity, and the overwhelming number of users causing the webpage to be overloaded. It is recommended to wait for the peak interaction period to pass before participating in the interaction, and the official may also optimize for this situation.

  1. ### Gmove Campaign Social Media Interaction

Target users: Everyone

Rewards: Trophies (possibly another type of weighted points or NFT)

Participation method: Interacting on social media, contributing to the Move system's Github database, becoming an active community member of the Movement ecosystem, sharing creative works related to Movement

In simple terms, the Gmove Campaign is an activity designed for real users of the ecosystem, rewarding them for making real contributions to the ecosystem and community.

The simplest way to participate is to tweet "gmove". Although the editor has not participated in this interaction, there have been a large number of related meme images and a wave of "gmove" on Twitter.

This is real.

  1. ### The Battle of Olympus (Hackathon)

Target users: Developers

Rewards: Medals

Participation method: https://olympus.movementlabs.xyz/

The third activity, "The Battle of Olympus," is a hackathon specifically for developers and is not directly related to regular interaction users (yes, the editor did not participate either). Interested developers can click the link to sign up.

  1. ### Centurions

Target users: Ecosystem loyal users

Rewards: To be determined

Participation method: To be determined

The specific information for the fourth activity has not been announced yet. According to the official, it is designed for ecosystem loyal users and is worth looking forward to.

Conclusion

So far, the initial participation methods for the current Movement testnet have been introduced. The testnet incentive time is quite sufficient, and the official has also indicated that the mainnet will be launched as soon as possible, and there may not be a long-term PUA, so cherish it while you can.

In the future, TechFlow of Deep Tide will continue to pay attention to the latest developments in the Movement testnet and promptly organize targeted interaction tutorials for the Building the Parthenon activity. Please stay tuned!
